Nike X Colin Kaepernick
Scope
League Twenty Two partnered with Nike Sports Marketing to produce their first ever product collaboration with activist and athlete, Colin Kaepernick in collaboration with Joy Yamusangie, a designer and illustrator known for their unquie work with shapes, figures, and symbols. Each symbol on the hoodie and t-shirt amplifies a deeper meaning to the journey of Kapernick's life through sport, justice, and equality. League Twenty Two assembled a diverse crew of creatives such as directors, set designers, copywriters, and content teams to bring this vision to life. The content was displayed globally across Nike.com, the Nike App, Nike email, Instagram (@Nike, @NikeSportsWear and @kaepernick7) and Nike's official Youtube channel. Additionally, we designed a seeding box to share with Colin's network of likeminded trailblazers, athletes, and leaders to access the product in a special way with insight to the intentionality behind the campaign at large.
